A PayPal account allows you to accept PayPal & Credit Card Payments on your PayCalendar.
Creating a PayPal Sandbox (Test) account allows you to test your calendar with fake money. This is recommended to do before you go live with your calendar to make sure everything is working correctly.
1. Visit the PayPal Developer Site
Navigate to PayPal Developer using your web browser.
2. Log In with your normal PayPal Account or Sign Up
Click on the “Log into Dashboard” button.
If you already have a PayPal account, use your credentials to log in.
If not, click “Sign Up” to create a free PayPal account.
3. Access the Sandbox Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the Dashboard.
From the top menu, hover over”Testing Tools” and then click on “Sandbox Accounts.”
4. Create a New Sandbox Account
Click the “Create Account” button.
5. Choose the account type
You are going to want to make a Business account, then go back again and make a Personal account.
6. Get Password for Business Account
7. Back on the PayCalendar settings page, use this Business account email address and password to login to PayPal in Test Mode.
After you login it will ask you to connect. Choose Allow.
Then click “Return to Test Store”
You will be redirected back to PayCalendar and you can see that you are not successfully connected to PayPal in test mode with the PayPal test Business account.
8. Personal Account
In step 5, you also created a Personal account. Use this Personal account email and password so you can pretend to be the customer when you want to complete a payment on your PayCalendar.
9. Login to either Business or Personal PayPal Account. (Optional)
If you want to login to either account to see what it will look like to receive / pay a PayPal transaction, go to https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/ and login with either the Business or Personal Account.
